Jan loves reading Steve Devere detective stories. She works in Mr. Fray's bookshop in Cambridge. One day a man comes into the shop and wants Mr. Fray's money. Can what Jan has learned in the detective books help her and Mr. Fray?

I think this is a fantastic book! I think the plot is frightening at first but in the end it becomes exciting. The story is well written. I think the pictures are beautiful. The English is easy to read. I really enjoyed the book.
